Robot connection interface

The robot connection interface is necessary in order to connect a robot to the Jorns bending machine. It includes the corresponding hardware and software according to the Jorns standard data diagram.

  • The interface between the bending machine and robot can use the following communication technologies: OPC-UA, EtherNet-IP, EtherCAT or Profinet.
  • In the combination of robot and bending machine, each can be used as master or slave depending on the individual requirements.
  • The bending machine can be operated either as a standalone machine or together with a robot.

Jorns AG is not the integrator of a robot, we only provide the necessary interface.

Providing evidence that the basic health and safety requirements of the Machinery Directive are met when using a combination of robot and bending machine is the responsibility of the customer or the company that carries out the integration of the robot.

Among others, this responsibility includes the following:

  • Carrying out a risk assessment and creating a safety concept
  • Creating operating instructions
  • Creating technical documentation
  • Creating a declaration of conformity
  • CE marking
